    If you've been watching 'the Prisoner' for any length of time, you will have learned that it is only No.6 who concerns himself with who No.1 is, he asks this during the opening dialogue of the opening sequence. During 'The Chimes of Big Ben' it was No.2 who said it doesn't matter who No.1 is. In 'Free For All No.6 asks No.2 how's No.1 is, and tells him that No.1 is the boss! And here on the chessboard, No.6 cannot stop himself from asking No.8 "Who is No.1?" No.8 avoids the question, by suggesting "That was a good move." And this is the last time No.6 enquires about No.1, until he gets to come face to face with him in 'Fall Out.'
