It was once observed by a fan of 'the Prisoner,' that the Prisoner drives into the underground car park, as he approaches the barrier it rises up, allowing the Lotus through. They must have known the Prisoner was coming, to raise the barrier and let him through?
Well of course "they" might have known the Prisoner was coming, but clearly the person who made the observation, had never driven into a car park such as this. Firstly The Prisoner stopped his car to taking an automatically dispensed parking ticket. The Lotus then moves forward, but if you watch the scene carefully, you will observe that the Lotus is driven underneath the barrier {being such a low car} which rises after the car has been driven through.
It's so simple really, I don't know why fans of 'the Prisoner' have to complicate matters by interpreting a mundane scene into something more elaborate. But I suppose if you don't know how things work, you don't.
Be seeing you
That's a nice observation!
ReplyDeleteFor him there are no barriers, truly..
