It’s
Election Day, and the Polling Station has been open for some time. Two men,
obviously Committee members and supporters of Number 2 as well as the old
regime, stand outside in front of a vote No.2 placard. After the ballot count,
and the result confirmed that Number 6 is the new Number 2, these two men clear away the placard, as two other
Committee members clear away the vote for No.6, and are replaced by four Top
Hat officials of administration. I don’t know if there is any significance in
this, save for the fact that now a new
No. 2 is in place, Administration takes over from the Committee now that the
election is over. It might have been the Committee which had been responsible
for running the election.
