“I’d like to be the first man on the Moon.”

{Number 6 – The Chimes of Big Ben}
Of
course Number 6 is only speaking figuratively, meaning he would like to get
away from it all, which is what he was going to do after he had handed in his
letter of resignation. He was certainly in a hurry when he arrived home, two
suitcases already packed, his passport and airline ticket ready, oh yes and two
what look to be travel brochures. Where he was going is anyone’s guess, perhaps
to Paris first, maybe to attend one of Madame
Engadines celebrated parties. After all that’s what he would have done had
“they” not got to him first. He told Madame Engadine that he was going on
holiday, but not the fishing trip, somewhere different, somewhere quiet where
he could think. According to Engadine there is nowhere quiet, but there is.
You will recall the two holiday brochures, they both had pictures of a tropical
beach, white sand and palm trees, it might be an island. Well there would be
quiet enough for him to think, but think about what? Why his future, what he
was going to do next!
Be seeing you
