Questions Are A Burden To Others - Answers A prison For Oneself

The Schizoid Man - No.6 reported to No.2, in the guise of No.12, that "No.6 is dead, Rover got him!" But of course it wasn't No.6, it was No.12-Curtis. But why should the Village Gaurdian kill Curtis? Okay, perhaps the Guardian was programmed to attack the one who failed to give the correct password, but Curtis did give the correct password 'Schizoid Man.' So perhaps it was not so much about the password, but Curtis' manner, sensing his fear, and that is what the Guardian homed in on. But even so, to kill Curtis? Remember the Village Guardian dosn't always kill it's victims, only suffocating them into unconsciousness. Perhaps No.6 just assumed Curtis was dead, not bothering to check the body for signs of life. And if that was the case, that would account why so many fans of the Prisoner are of the opinion that No.1 is in fact No.12-Curtis, who is wheeled out once aganin, in a final attempt to break No.6, by facing him with himself as No.1. In that possibility, it's no wonder No.6 wanted to lay hands on No.1, he probably wanted to break Curtis' neck!
And if that is the case, that Curtis is No.1, where was Curtis all this time, between the end of The Schizoid Man and Fall Out? Well obviously they couldn't have two identical Six's in the village. So it might be that Curtis became more of a prisoner than No.6, his days spent confined to a room in the hospital!
I'll be seeing you.
