The Village Guardian

    I would us the term 'Rover,' but I don't think that Rover was the 'things' name at all. Oh yes I know No.6 used the name 'Rover' when referring to the Village Guardian, but how did No.6 know what to call the Guardian? I think No.6 was simply using the name 'Rover' as a euphemsim for a dog to call the Village Guardian 'Rover' making 'it' nothing more than a guard dog, which of course it is, to 'serve and protect' both the Village and it's citizens. Why No.2 picked up on this, I've no idea.
    It has to be said that having a Balloon for the Village Gaurdian is far more adaptable that a silly idea of having Go-Kart with a dome on it, and a blue flashing light. The Guardian can push a motor cruiser, travel over any terrain, skim swiftly over the water, drift through the air. We have seen it alter it's size, and here we see the Village Guardian dividing itself, as it half suffocates, half drowns No.8 during The Chimes of Big Ben.

   So fictionally a segment of the Village Guardian, it's full mass retained in a containment area somewhere at the bottom of the sea, can sub-divide itself, in this case twice, yet still retaining its original size and mass. In reality the production team working on the Prisoner simply shot two circles of light rising towards the camera to signify the Village Guardians transformation, and then superimposed it over the water and Nadia.
