Hi David
ReplyDeleteI’ve always been fascinated with scenes that were cut from the series, particularly this one. I wonder what he was singing – do you know? Perhaps it was Please Release Me, Say I’m Your Number One, I am the One and Only, or even I Will Survive! Ha, Ha!
Wouldn’t it be great if a copy of the original episode still existed somewhere?
Love

Hi Nadia,
DeleteOh that's a very good comment, and most amusing.
As far as I know Number 6 was supposed to have been giving an electoral speech to those people who are wearing white No.2 rosettes.
Yes it would be great if original scenes like this one still existed somewhere, but most likely were all swept up off the cutting room floor. It was only by chance that the first cuts of 'Arrival' and 'The Chimes of Big Ben' were saved.
Very best regards
David
