On This Day September 5th 1966

    It was on Monday September 5th 1966, that filming of the Prisoner commenced at Portmeirion. True, the filming of the opening sequence was carried out before Portmeirion, but filming in Portmeiriron commenced 45 years ago, to the very day today. Morag and I shall be watching The Alternative Chimes of Big Ben tonight in small celebration, and in celebration a selection of photographs.

 

 

    If it were not for Patrick McGoohan, I wouldn't be sat here now, posting such blog about the Prisoner, and you would not be sat there at your computer, or via mobile phone, reading this blog now. It would seem that Patrick McGoohan not only made a Prisoner of himself, but also all of us who become instant followers.
