The main thing about the 2009 series is, that it's all in the mind. Planted in the subconscious. A dream. But there's nothing new about that, as it was suggested in the original series, namely Dance of the Dead, when down on the beach No.6 is looking for a a light. A boat. A plane, someone from his world. No.2 tells No.6 that the village is his world, that she is his world. And if No.6 insists on living a dream, he may be taken for mad. To which No.6 replies that he likes his dream. But which dream is that, the one of of the outside world, or that of the village?
And later, in the village mortuary, there lies a dead body in a long drawer. He'll be amended slightly, along with the wallet in his pocket, so that to the outside world, which according to No.2 No.6 only dreams about, he'll be dead. So it is with both series, a question of reality, and which reality is the right one, and the other the dream!
