Thought Exchange

I used to think that perhaps No.2 in 'Hammer Into Anvil' got it right, that No.6 was a plant in the Village, sent by No.2's masters to spy on them. This would suggest that No.1 isn't the master!

There were two plants in the Village, No.8-Nadia Rakovsky and No.34, whoever he was. The reason for him being in the Village, and his death will forever remain a complete mystery!

The Village Guardian, once upon a time I thought "it" was an alien creature to this world. This I saw suggestive in one scene in 'Fall Out' just after the rocket had blasted off out of it's silo. Rover is seen in a hot, steamy, and rocky environment, suggesting to me an alien planet.

In the end credits of the first-cut of 'The Chimes of Big Ben' it is suggested that the Village is universal, the earth encompassed in the farthing wheel of the penny farthing bicycle. And then the screen is suddenly filled with the word POP, to mean the end of the world, another of McGoohan's predictions within 'the Prisoner.'

To me No.1 is but the figurehead of the Village, not the complete and utter power behind it!

Be seeing you
