It's Simply Really

I have found that the simplest explanations of any given situation in the Prisoner is very often the best answer or explanation. Because there has been, in the past, the situation where fans of the Prisoner have given over elaborate or complicated interpretations to the most simple mundane situations. Take the opening sequence of the Prisoner for example. The Prisoner parks his Lotus Seven in the underground car park, and goes through a pair of doors marked 'Way Out.' This is interpreted by many fans as the Prisoner demonstrating his rebellious nature by entering a building via the 'Way Out.'
But the reality of the situation is, that the Prisoner is not entering a building, but is simply leaving the underground car park via the 'Way Out!' So just by misinterpretation of a mundane action, the situation is made into something it is not.
