When
the Prisoner having expelled his personal maid, after judging what her little
game was, he explores the interior of his cottage. And opening a small writing
desk he opens a leather bound {the Prisoner being very particular in his
stationery} ‘things to do today’ pad in which a note reads “Don’t forget to
send thank you note for the flowers.” What flowers? Who would be sending him
flowers? Does that memo appertain to someone back in London , certainly not in The Village, he’s
only just arrived. And besides there are no flowers! Another note said “Arrived
today, made very welcome.” Obviously this second note originates from the day
of his arrival in the Village, but the Prisoner didn’t write it, as he was
unconscious at the time. So who wrote that?
Be seeing you
