On the news this morning the BBC announced the sad death of Fenella Fielding,
who passed away at the age of 90.
Although Fenella never physically appeared
in ‘the Prisoner,’ she was the voice of The Village. Her sultry, cheery voice
would float over The Village announcing the ice cream flavour of the day, the
weather forecast such warnings of intermittent showers, and the fine spell of
good weather to continue for at least another month. As well as special events.
