On the left is MS Polotska, which features in Checkmate, and previously in Many Happy Returns as the gun-runners boat. But the cruisers real name is Breda, and before that DAB II. She has something of a history about her, as Breda was one of the many 'little ships' which took part in the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940. The top cabin had been added to the cruiser previous to the Prisoner, but later the owners had the cabin removed, which proved to make the cruiser top heavy! The Breda does still exist today, last moored at Teddington Lock. BCNUA life time fan and Prisonerologist of the 1960's series 'the Prisoner', a leading authority on the subject, a short story writer, and now Prisoner novelist.
