Inspired By The Prisoner
Repeated just in case you missed this previous piece of blog, but this time with a few selected images.
Prisoner inspired band Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling has released their very first music video for the song 'Episode1 - Arrival.'
It is a shot-for-shot recreation of the opening sequence of the Prisoner. The project took 11 days of shooting and nearly 2 years of planning to create. It was shot all over Boston and New England with an eye to replicate the London/Wales/1960's landscape of the original series. Lead singer and drummer, Sophia Cacciola, took the enormous role of Number 6 - see the classic Lotus 7 replica racing around downtown Boston as the story of the unnamed protagonist unfolds, as she angrily resigns from her intelligence position to find that she cannot get away quickly enough to avoid being gassed and chased by a giant white balloon!
I have watched the following video several times. It is extradorinary, awesome, and the production brilliantly executed. I even like the song. Sophia Cacciola, her band, and everyone associated with the production of the video are to be congratulated. the best Prisoner based music video I've seen in many a year. Apart from the music video which I appeared in some years ago.......but that's another story.
