Village Observation
Its quite amusing to watch, during The Chimes of Big Ben, No.2 who knows exactly what No.6 is up to in the woods, and this he finds most amusing, and gets pleasure in allowing No.6 to get on with his activities. A sculpture in three pieces my foot, he's carving himself a boat! No.6 was using a stone axe, and chisel, tools which are outside the pale of the law, as No.2 points out. To which No.6 suggests that No.2 could wink a blind surveillance eye. This is an in-joke on the part of Patrick McGoohan. Because Leo McKern had a glass eye, and if No.2 were to 'wink a blind surveillance eye,' that would leave No.2 blind! BCNU
