No.1 might be the boss, as the Prisoner stated in Arrival, but does he have command? What's more, how does the Prisoner know that No.1 is the boss? It also strikes me, that No.1 is just as much a prisoner as anyone else in the Village. Except that No.1 hasn't even the freedom of the Village! Because when do you see No.1 out and about in the Village? Unless of course No.1 is Curtis, having taken a personal hand in the affairs of The Schizoid Man!
