Mind The Fall Out!
Last night my wife and I sat watching, with a visiting friend, the Armchair Theatre play 'The Man Out There' starring Patrick Mcgoohan as a Russian Cosmonaut who is the first man in space. The only trouble is there is a fault with the capsule, and the parachute cannot be deployed on re-entry. Thus both space capsule and Cosmonaut are burned up on re-entry into Earth's atmosphere. It struck me last night, that in 'Fall Out' with No.1 played by Patrick McGoohan, then sealed in the nose cone of the rocket {although we do not see him} is actually repeating his former role. Seeing as No.6 had set the flight of the rocket to achieve a low orbit. And once that low orbit had deteriorated, in an uncontrolled re-entry into Earth's atmosphere, No.1 and the rocket would burn up!
