In ‘The Schizoid Man,’ Number 2 greets
Number 12 like an old friend, which of course he is.
“Ah my dear chap delighted to see you, ha, ha you’re looking fine, you really are.”
And during this meeting of apparently old friends, Number 2 holds out his hand in order to shake Number 12’s. Number 12 offers his left hand {perhaps because Number 6 is feeling a little awkward because of the effects of the recent electrical therapy, in having made his left hand his dominant hand} but Number 2 takes 12’s right hand and shakes it warmly. You can then see that Number 6 instantly feels more comfortable for that. But why Number 6 should feel awkward about it I don’t know, after all real left-handed people use their right hand to shake the hand of other people.
