More details regarding the official 50th
Anniversary celebrations for 'The Prisoner', taking place in Portmeirion on
29th September, hosted by NETWORK, have been announced!
A fantastic line up of guests, screenings,
and special events has been announced, with MORE still to be announced!
Guests so far confirmed include series
guest stars Peter Wyngarde, Jane Merrow, Derren Nesbitt, Norma West and Annette
Andre, and third assistant director on the series Seamus Byrne.
As well as guests, there will be several
screenings on 35mm film, including three episodes of 'The Prisoner', and 'In My
Mind', Chris Rodley's new feature-length documentary film, in the Hercules Hall
(climaxing with 'Arrival' screened 50 years after its original broadcast,
introduced by a very special guest).
In addition (as if the above wasn't enough),
the Big Finish 'Prisoner' team of Nick Briggs (writer/producer) and Mark Elstob
(Number Six), along with special guest star Nickolas Grace (Number Two) will be
providing a very special live episode in The Green Dome!
There will also be other guests and
attractions to be announced nearer the time. All indoor events are open to
ticket holders only, who today (8/9) received event details by email.
Portmeirion will of course still be open to day visitors to soak up the
atmosphere of what promises to be a unique event to celebrate the series' 50th
anniversary.
