I'm forever haunted by a terrible gaff on page 7. Incredibly, no one has ever seemed to notice it.
The quoted poem was actually written by A. E. Housman! I first heard it towards the end of the film 'Walkabout', which starred the lovely Jenny Agutter and I shamefully assumed it was written by the author of the screenplay.
