Here's a thought. You know how it is when No.2 apparently died in that cage in 'Once Upon A Time,' and how some little time later he was resuscitated by a medical team during 'Fall Out.' Well seeing as how they couldn't let No.2 rest in peace, would 'they' have resuscitated No.6 had he been to one to die in that cage?
And if the shoe had been on the other foot, that might very well have meant that No.2, who having survived the ultimate test, would have made him the man magnificently equipped to lead the Village! But instead No.2 was put on trial for his failure, his failure to recognise that fact that he had been successful in extracting the reason why the Prisoner-No.6 resigned!
