Thought For The Day

Have you observed the similarity between 'Living In Harmony' and 'The Girl Who Was Death?' I was thinking about it yesterday as a matter of fact. Basically both episodes work on the same lines, one a reality role playing game, the other a fairytale. And in both cases everyone save for Number 6, Number 2, Number 8, Number 10, Number 22, and the three children, are the only one's to actually exist in their relative episodes!

I'll be seeing you

    1. Hello Moor,

Is that a touch of sarcasm I read in your comment? If it is it won't be held against you.

  2. No, I was labouring under a misapprehension. I thought at first you were pointing out that all the "real characters" in both episodes carried the same numbers in the respective episodes. But of course you were not, and they are not, and I was silly to get so excited.

    1. Hello Moor,

My apologies to you sir. Sometimes I misunderstand the meaning behind a comment, as I did in your case. You were getting excited, and I misunderstood your meaning. I will take twelve of the best, so that I can remember!
And no, you were not silly to get so excited. If my blog can excite people's imagination, well that's all to the good.

      Very kind regards

  3. I guess it can be interesting, in an analytical way, to see clever "links" that were NOT made within the show, as the antidote to seeing the links that do appear to be present sometimes. The producers were very clever in many ways, but they were not super-human - thank heavens.... ;-D

    1. Hello Moor,

An interesting comment, and one I can agree with. It's easy to see the possible "links" that appear with 'the Prisoner' and works of the past, in either literature, televison, and film. It's even more clever to see the "links" which were not made within the show, as you say. But we must also not forget how 'the Prisoner' has been the inspiration behind modern day films and television series, and the "links" that can be made from them, back to 'the Prisoner.'

      Very kind regards
