Its Inexplicable And Difficult To Comprehend!

The way in which Number 2, Colin Gordon of ‘A B & C,’ has less than a week to discover the reason behind the Prisoner-Number6's resignation, in fact he only has 3 days.... but if he had a "free hand" But if any harm comes to Number 6........
So why wasn't this particular Number 2 not given a "free hand?" I mean Number 2 sets up Number 6 for a fall during ‘Free For All,’ and the new Number 2 seems as though she could have unspeakable things done to No.6, and feel nothing towards him. They have many ways and means, but do not wish to damage him permanently. This Number 2 seems as though she would use those extreme measures mentioned by the new Number 2 in 'Arrival.'
Number 2 in ‘The Schizoid Man’ is given free reign to break Number 6, this to gain the reason why Number 6 resigned. Number 2 of ‘Dance of the Dead’ had Number 6 put on trial - in 'Hammer Into Anvil' Number 2 was going to "Hammer" Number 6, this in order to break him, and was not pulled up by No.1 in this desire. And finally in 'Once Upon A Time' it had to be either one of them, Number 6 or Number 2, and he complained of only having a week! There are times when they are willing to take the risk with Number 6's life, and others when the tissue must not be damaged. And in 'Many Happy Returns' was the Prisoner's life never before put so at risk. Why have I not included both 'Checkmate' and 'A Change of Mind.' Well there was the threat in both episodes of a leucotomy being carried out on Number 6, to knock out the aggressive frontal lobes. But then that was all it was, a threat, which would never have been carried out, not on their prize prisoner. Yet they gambled with Number 6 again in 'Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling,' in which he was given a change of mind!
It might have been a question of time, after all Number 6 aksed if Number 2 was runing out of time during 'The Chimes of Big Ben' when he asked Number 6 about taking sugar, and that is only the second episode! And Number 2 of 'A Change of Mind' thought it was a question of time, seeing that the Prisoner needed time to think!

Be seeing you
