Is this the moment when Patrick McGoohan twisted his ankle whilst running along the beach at Portmeirion for the opening sequence of ‘the Prisoner?’ Patrick was warned how soft the sand was, and how difficult it is to run on soft sand, by his stunt double Frank Maher. But Patrick still demanded that he do the running on the beach for the opening sequence of ‘the Prisoner.’ Needless to say, Patrick McGoohan turned, and twisted his ankle, and so it was left to stunt double for McGoohan, Frank Maher to finish the filming.
