Why did The Man With No Name {the Sheriff} hand in his badge?
And the reason might very well be that the Sheriff had become fed up being a Lawman, putting his life on the line hunting down bank robbers, and having to face up to every two-bit gunslinger who came into town trying to make a name for himself!
It's his letter of resignation. For peace of mind. A dirty job (most likely out there!) he wanted to quit. - BCNU!
