I used to think that No.6 was helping No.24 with her mind reading in the evening, seeing as his wrist watch says 9:30. And yet when No.6 sees 24 out of his cottage it must be 9:30 in the morning and not night time, because it's day time outside! Because the next scene is No.2 entering the Control Room, when they deepened No.6's sleep for him, and then he was abducted from his home. So presumably it was soon after 24 had left the cottage '6 Private' on the morning of Feb 20th, that No.2 instigated the affair of 'The Schizoid Man,' because there is a whole day in this episode that we do not see! He had seen that No.6 and No.24 have a genuine mental link, and thought of a plan in which he could use that, and so put pressue on No.24 so that she would betray him. If No.2 had seen this mental link between No.6 and 24, before Feb10th, then when Alison left his cottage that morning, she knew then that she was going to betray him, which in my book makes her an even colder, unfeeling character than I thought!
