Caught On Camera!

   Number 6 has light brown hair, so to give him a make-over so to look like Curtis-Number 12 it is reasonable to assume that his hair, having been restyled, had been dyed black. But then comes to time for Number 6 to have another make-over in order to make him look like his old self, his moustache shaved off, and his hair being restyled as seen in the above picture. The question is, were the two hairdressers able to simply wash out the black hair dye, or did they have to dye Number 6's hair light brown?

I'll be seeing you

  1. Raising the question whether apart from the General Stores there is a hairdresser in the Village. I find it doubtful that e.g. the watchmaker's shop should profitable, provided any Village business actually is a real commercial business, but everyone needs a cut from time to time. Or perhaps one part of the shop is used as a hairdressing room at times. We know about the Village electrician and the gardener, so they must also have a plumber. And what about a dentist? Well, there could be one in the hospital. - BCNU!

  2. Hello Arno,

    Yes you are very accurate in your blog. I shouldn't think the watchmaker gets that many customers. But yes a hairdressers/barbers is a necessity. As to the question of further employment in the Village to add to the list;
    Postman {Dance of the Dead}
    Tailer
    Dressmaker
    Window Cleaner
    Carpenter
    Rubbish collector
    Street Cleaner
    A woodsman to look after the forest
    Milkman
    Optitian
    Baker
    Butcher
    Painters
    Telephone Operator
    Builders
    Those who work in the Power Station, at the Water Works, and Sewage Plant.
    To name but a few, and I'm sure you can add to the list. Because I'm sure that every commercial business that we have in our own society, would have to be, in some way, represtented in the Village.

    Kind regards

  3. Oha, never expected that much! But I'm afraid I can remember only a few of them from the screen. An optician, a dressmaker? No. Sure, as the Village is self-contained those crafts and professions are needed. Impossible to have the hairdresser flown in "just in time". And perhaps some of them are done by one and the same individual. Thank you! - BCNU!

    1. Hello Arno,

      Of course there are those amongst my list, workers that you do not see in 'the Prisoner.' I could go on and mention other workers needed in the Village, but I think the point is made. I don't want to bore the citizens.

      Regards

  4. It's hard to tell but it looks like both girls have the same number on their badge - 249. I suppose one could be 249b, like the photographer from Free For All was 113b ?

    1. Hello Anonymous,

      I checked the badges out yesterday, inspired by your comment. And both badges are numbered 249 as far as I can see. As you say, it could have been 249 and 249b, having forgotten the "b", or perhaps this is another case of "Oh well, they'll never notce. Well "they" were wrong!
      Inspired as I say by your comment, I have posted about this this morning in 'Caught On Camera.'

      Very kind regards
