I wondered if the absence of 7 could symbolize the absence of freedom in the village, since the Prisoners' Lotus 7 symbolizes freedom. If so, your question would insinuate that Number 6 would have been afraid of freedom. It's an interesting thought.. although I'm not sure if he really was afraid of 7. At least he wasn't afraid to drive it..
Hello Jana, That's very good, clever, very nicley put, and I understand your thinking behind it. But sadly in this particular case it's not the answer I was looking for. The answer to this festive teaser is "because 7 8 9." Or to put it another way seven eight {pronounced "ate"} nine!
