If Number 2 reports to a higher authority, say Number 1 for arguments sake, by using an 'L' shaped telephone as Number 2 does in 'Dance of the Dead,' {even using that oversized curved red telephone} then why the need for the Teleprinter through which Number 2, later recives her instructions and sends her reports?

An elaborate red herring? Given that the original script ends with the Prisoner reentering the dance hall and entering into the spirit of the celebrations, it would suggest he's acknowledging and accepting the farce for what it is...

Hi Steve,
ReplyDeleteYes, the use of the Teletype was put in at the last moment, because the episode was three minutes short. I think they should have kept to the original script, in which there is a mad frenzied dance, at the end of which everyone dies, except for Number 6.

Be seeing you
In my office, I have a telephone with a cord, mobile phones we can walk around with, plus a fax machine in the corner. I have e-mail. I have gmail. I still get letters in the post.
ReplyDeleteNo2 seems quite frugal in her comms systems, it seems to me.
Hello Moor,
DeleteYou'll never be out of contact with that little lot! About the only thing missing in your list is Video Conferencing!
