The Chimes of Big Ben

   The film from which the above stills are taken, as part of the 12 hour journy to London, is of course simply for the television viewer, it never actually took place, well not in the series. However, the film is real enough, and I'm sure the segments of film were not espeically filmed for 'The Chimes of Big Ben,' but the segments of film footage taken from something else and used in the episode. The only question being their original origin!

    You will observe the crate being loaded aboard the ship, and the cargo plane, pity someone didn't think of putting a crate in the back of the lorry seen in the first picture. Or, as a friend emailed me yesterday, perhaps the lorry is on it's way to collect the crate!
