Number 2 said to the Colonel “If I told you
ten years ago we’ve flown a rocket around the Moon…….” Which rocket might that
be, and who is this we’ve? Surely Number 2 wasn’t referring to the Fall Out
rocket. Mind you perhaps that was the original destination for the rocket. No,
its more likely that Number 2 is referring to the Soviet Union’s LUNA 3 which successfully flew
around the moon and took the first pictures of the far side of the Moon in
October 1959.
