A Favourite Scene In THEPRIS6NER
Takes place in ‘Schizoid,’ when 147 sees an old man, Un-Two sitting outside The Village Shop. He stops his taxi and goes to talk to the old man.
“Hey, hey man don’t you know you can’t be sitting there just dreaming in the sun?”
147 gets out of his taxi and approaches Un-Two.
“You’re going to get into all kinds of trouble out here. Come on, we’ve got to get you up. Where do you live? What’s your number?”
“Oh I’m a man with no number” Un-Two tells him.
“No, no, no, don’t say it out loud. You’ll have every undercover round here down on your case. Come on get you off the street.”
147 then takes Un-Two to his home where his wife 21-16 gives him some cherry cake.
“Damn fine cake!” Un-Two tells her.
“Know who you kind of remind me of? He looks like Two” 147 says
“You think so?” Un-Two says drinking his tea.
“You could be a Two double, that would be a great job” 21-16 Suggests.
Un-Two laughs.
“Say, could you do a Two impersonation?” 147 asks.
“Oh I…..”
“No go ahead, say something in the Two vein.”
“N, No I am Two.”
{They all laugh.}
“No really I am Two.”
“Mmm yeah, you do look a bit like him, but Two’s got those death cold eyes.”
{They laugh again, then grow silent, as 21-16 remembers the loss of her chills 832.}
{They hear an alarm bell in the distance. They are coming for Un-Two in a black van.}
“They’re coming here! I told you, you can’t be a man without a number here.”
“It’s alright. I am Two.”
“No man, you tell them that and they will blow your head right off, come on.”
{Un-Two is forced to make a break for it, running away. Men in black fire their semi-automatic weapons at him.}
Breathe in…. Breathe out…. More Village
