Thought For The Day

When No.6 woke up on the morning of ‘Many Happy Returns’ he must have felt an echo of the morning he woke up in the Village on the morning of his arrival. There didn't seem to be anyone about then!

  1. At the beginning of my own more in-depth research it was one of the remarkable things to discover, the absence of foilage in this episode and some others as well. And I was inclined to think this was done out of intention. Later I learned about the second shooting in early 1967. So it turned out it wasn't really deliberately done but nonetheless especially in the case of "Returns" it was extremely fitting into the mood of that episode. - BCNU!

    1. Hello Arno,

That's the thing about 'the Prisoner,' the seasons of the year follow no pattern in the Village! You are perfectly right, it was not deliberately done. And 'Many Happy Returns' does fit very well with the lack of foliage, as the episode is supposed to take place in March, the Prisoner's birthday tells us that much.
