Pictorial Prisoner
The Village credit card is clipped for it's Work or Credit Units, much in the same way that Ration Cards were clipped for their Points, here in Britain, during World War Two and until well into the mid 1950's.
I've no idea why they called them Work Units. Is that what you get for working in the Village, that you are paid in Work Units? And Credit Units, are they for when one is out of work in the Village? Well No.6 never did a days work in all his time in the Village, and therefore had not built up any credit either!
