In the episode Darling this ship's drift anchor is decribed by 16 as a desert folly, a nothing. But to Six it represents escape. Because where there is an anchor there is a ship, and where there is a ship there has to be a sea, an ocean! Well Six is already in a sea, a sea of sand, although there is no ship, there is a boat.
