I'm also a gardener, tending the new plants. Although I was never good at mathematics at school, often making it up as I want along, and clearly failing my maths CSE examination. Imagination, that is one of my strengths, a strong, sometimes over active imagination. So I wonder what kind of Village I might create in my subconscious? I like steak and chips, so instead of everything in wraps, everyone would eat steak and chips! The emblem of the Village? Well the canopied Penny Farthing is a powerful logo, yet I like the Art Deco design of THEPRIS6NER logo, so it would have to be something else. But I would keep the Village salute of the original Village. Would I set my Village in Portmeriion? No. Once upon a time I would have done, but no longer. My love affair with Portmeirion has long since fizzled out, and all that remains are happy and fond memories, as Portmeriion used to be, not as it has become.
Sometimes I used give the Village salute in shops when I'm was out and about. Some shop assistants took no notice, others gave a queer look, but one or two knew what I'm on about.
I've got a couple of un-published short stories based on 'the Prisoner,' one entitled 'Roverson Crusoe,' the second is about what takes place the day after Appreciation Day, and perhaps one day they'll be published. If not elsewhere, then here amid my blog.
Be seeing you
