When I first visited the Village, the first thing I noticed was how small it was, when in 'the Priosner' the Village had appeared to be so large. Take the chess lawn for example, when the Prisoner strides across it he does so in 17 paces, I'm sure I covered it in less. And that taxi ride taken by Number 6 to the Town Hall to witness the disolusionment of the out-going Council in 'Free For All', it's such a short distance that it's actually covered twice in the episode. And the same can be said of the final election parade, when Number 6 is telling the electorate that a a vote for Number 2 is a vote for the old regime. "The old regime forever, and the old Number 2 forever." And goes on about "Confession by coercion? Vote for him and you'lll get it!" And what about the taxi ride the Prisoner takes on the morning of his arrival in the Village? The taxi driver drives this way and that, up one way, and back down again, all in a roundabout way, so to try and make the journey take longer, and give different views of the same area so to make the Village look bigger than it actually is.
Be seeing you
