I have a passion for old pictures, postcards, and film footage of Portmeirion. Yesterday afternoon I was sent an email by ChristineB which contained the following link.
The film contains people lounging about in deckchairs, one lady removing a stocking, cars racing through Protmeirion, and the famous Agatha, the parrakeet, who was perhaps the best known personnage at Portmeirion, Clough writes about her in his book "Portmeirion: The Place and It's Meaning.' She would fly freely, making investigations into everything.
I hope you enjoy the film late 1940's film, which comes from the 'Huntley Film Archive,' and has only recently been posted on YouTube.
Be seeing you
