It’s cleverly cut. Number 6, McGoohan, walks toward the blue post box with the note he’s about to post, and yet it’s Number 6 Frank Maher who walks away after the note was posted! That’s because McGoohan filmed the first part of the scene in September 1966, and Frank Maher filmed the second part of the scene in March 1967! Why couldn’t McGoohan film the whole sequence himself in one take? Makes you wonder doesn’t it!
