Village Maxim
"Music Makes For A Quiet Mind."
As it happens music was played to inmates of asylums since before 1729, Music Therapy, in order to help keep them quiet. Perhaps the same applies in The Village!
Music, as we all know, can be stimulating as well as mobilising and agitating which, in turn, doesn't have to be a "good", a positive purpose, think of the military. It can also have a soothing effect which may be used for therapeutical aims. Any yet, I see one more purpose here, in the Village. It is to clad the place with a pleasant front. So there's the Village Band performing popular music turning the Village into a "holiday" resort with a positive appeal on the surface. - BCNU!
