"Do you know what I want, to hear the chimes of Big Ben."
{Nadia}
I wonder why Nadia was so keen to hear the chimes of Big Ben? Perhaps when she heard them, it meant that her assignment would be over, and that she would be glad it was over. And so it was, as having heard the chimes Nadia was led away by two men, and so persumably to make ready for her departure from the Village.
The chimes of Big Ben are used to confirm to No.6 and Nadia that they have arrived in London {except they are still in the Village}, the fact that Nadia wanted to hear the chimes does demonstrate a far deeper meaning to the chimes of Big Ben. Because in reality to hear the chimes of Big Ben meant a great to the people all around the world, as clicking on the two links will demonstrate, they are but 2 minutes in length. The first one I found to be poignant to how Nadia felt about wanting to hear the chimes of Big Ben.
